Psychotherapist · Preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences

In short: I offer introductory, preparation and integration sessions, grounded in thoughts, emotions and the body. If you want to keep working on yourself, I also offer personal development therapy. In Copenhagen, online or by phone, in English or Danish. Your first 30-minute session is free, with no obligation.

Two things shape my work: many years of helping people make sense of complex knowledge, and my own path through a hard period, which taught me that change rarely follows a straight line.

My path

In 2019 I was on sick leave with stress and going through a divorce. It was one of the hardest times of my life.

The turning point came when I discovered breathwork. It gave me a way to cope with the state I was in, and something that could actually change it. Not long after, I became interested in psychedelic experiences and what they can set in motion in a person.

Since then, through therapy, meditation, body-based work and breathwork, I have learned how difficult times in life can open up new perspectives and a deeper connection with ourselves. It has given me great respect for each person's own process and pace.

For 11 years I taught as a senior lecturer at Zealand, a Danish business academy, in sales, strategy, marketing and communication. That background gave me a strong interest in making complex knowledge clear and usable. Today I bring that experience into my work as a therapist, where I am interested in how thoughts, emotions, the body and consciousness interact.

My therapeutic approach

From struggling with your thoughts and feelings to changing your relationship with them.

Many of us know our patterns well. We can explain them. And yet we stay stuck in them.

That is why I work with both the mind and what happens in the body and the emotions. I draw on metacognitive therapy (MCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and breathwork. Depending on what you need, the work can move between reflection, practical tools, body awareness and contact with your feelings.

For me, therapy is about creating a safe space where we can explore together what is taking up room in you, notice the patterns that hold you back, and find new ways of meeting yourself.

I don't believe you need fixing. What you are carrying does not have to disappear before you can live well. We work on your relationship with your thoughts and feelings, so there is more room for what is here, and for the life you want to live.

Preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences

A psychedelic experience can set a great deal in motion: in your thoughts, your emotions and your body.

Preparation is about getting clear on your expectations and your reasons, the worries and vulnerabilities you carry, and the resources you can lean on. And about whether this is right for you at all.

Integration is about making room for what came up and exploring what it means to you. Some people find new perspectives and meaningful insights. Others are left with questions, strong emotions or something that is hard to understand. Together we can make sense of it and find out how what you experienced can become real change in your everyday life. Both are welcome here, and you don't have to defend your choices.

Over the past five years I have had introductory and integration sessions with more than a hundred people, in groups and one to one, and today I see clients every week. I also teach trainee stress coaches about stress, the brain, the nervous system and breathing at Psykoterapeuterne.

In the introductory session we also talk about risks, such as medication, health and earlier mental health difficulties. Questions about medication and your health always belong with your doctor, and I encourage you to talk to them. Psychedelic experiences are not necessarily a shortcut, and they are not for everyone. I receive regular supervision from experienced colleagues and refer you on if what you are facing calls for it.

How it works

  • Free introductory session (30 min.): We find out what you need and whether we are the right fit for each other.
  • Preparation sessions: We talk about your thoughts, questions and expectations, your signals and resources, and the risks.
  • Integration sessions: We make room for what came up, both in words and in the body.
  • Personal development therapy: If you want to keep working on yourself and your patterns, we continue with personal development therapy.

My wish is to help you create greater coherence between what you understand, what you feel and the way you want to live.
